I wonder why there has not been more media coverage on the "peace deal" with Afghanistan?

Maybe I have missed it, but it seems to me peace negotiations should be talked about more. What deal did the WH make?
This has been said to be the longest US war.

Addendum: It feels like it was some kind of a backroom deal, which raises alarm bells. What was given away?

of the many, many things going on in the administration and the world... seems trump's chaos is there for a reason

how urgent is this for most people??
NEPA: "How Trump Plans to Gut NEPA, a 50-Year-Old Environmental Law" last call for public input is March

trying to keep up with all the nefarious and dangerous things this administration is doing is dizzying... that is why I have so much respect for the people and organizations working on behalf of the people and the health and welfare of the Country and environment

good things (only in his feeble mind) and then tries to get attention focused on it afterwards' fails miserably.

This is one thing that he's going to regret, that he's lost the media attention and can no longer command it as readily as he did before. Any accomplishments that he tries to harp about? They get lost. Any good deeds on his part, they get lost. Any efforts to try and bring people together to accomplish literally anything, anything at all? It gets lost.

His administration has lost the respect of the vast majority of Americans and the World. They're even having to rehire old workers since they seem unable to hire anyone. Who in their right mind would want to work for this totally unreliable and unsupportive administration? You would be a fool and pretty well sink your whole career if you choose to work for this administration.

With such a big thing as a peace deal with America's longest war not being talked about, I am very concern the deal is polluted somehow. Was it part of his State of Union? I did not watch that circus show.

southeast Asia, or for that matter, anywhere. As you mentioned, the deal is probably polluted somehow.

Perhaps it's the $trillion dollars in resources over there that he has got his mind on solely (and nothing else), in trying to rip this resource off or give it to one of his crooked buddies.

He seems to think that if he waves a magic wand, that things will automatically and cheerfully be resolved. What an idiot. I can't wait until we get some normal, decent, hardworking Americans in office again so we can seriously address these issues.

All we have now is a braggart...

Kind of a tough choice there.

Whatever the "agreement" says, the Taliban will be back in control in a couple of years after we leave, along with their Sharia Law and their suppression of women's rights.

Would love to get our troops out, it's Vietnam redux.

Because all these treaties heralded by the WH as huge breakthroughs fall flat. They seem to throw something vague together with no actionable points and declare it the best thing since VE Day. Then nothing happens and everyone forgets about the grand peace treaty.

Where did the Israel one end up? Non starter. 🤷🏻?♀️
