It's a sad fact.

The more that you hate Trump, the more his supporters adore him. The more you point out the obvious lies he tells, the more they believe him. The more you criticize him, the more they defend him. The more you indict him for criminal acts, the more they are assured of his innocence.

It's a form of defense mechanisms. There is no way to win with such a strategy. It's part of human nature. It's like the little boy that cried, "Wolf!". After a while, he was not believed, even when there really was a wolf.

their worldview is a social hierarchy with whites over blacks, men over women, republicans over democrats, etc.

people on the wrong end of the hierarchy are *expected* to whine and complain and not like it.

so our complaints and wailing are not convincing anyone stuck in that worldview.

until we convince bigots that *they* are being screwed, we won't convince them. if blacks or women or democrats are being treated unfairly, they just figure that means they whites and men and republicans are reaping the benefits, and they just love that idea.

They know that he lies. They are not all fools. They are fine with it because the lies support the president's positions and piss of the liberals.

They get a huge kick out of seeing us gnashing teeth and pulling our hair.

I actually read that on FB.

There is no Trumpist that loves him as much as I hate him. He is the worst person in the world.

So, take your vote, use it like a weapon against Trump et al. Don't waste time trying to convince those that can't think that Trump is bad. There are more of us. Let's just vote them all out of office.

Look neither to the right or the left, but straight ahead. Focus on one thing: EVERYBODY VOTES.

Vote Blue in November.
