'Parasite' studio responds to Trump after he criticizes Oscar win, Brad Pitt's speech

President Trump had sharp words for Hollywood during his Colorado rally Thursday night, taking aim at the "Parasite" Oscar victory and Brad Pitt's critical Oscar speech.

Neon, the movie studio behind the South Korean hit "Parasite," fired right back, suggesting the president's criticism of the foreign language film stemmed from trouble with the subtitles.

"Understandable, he can't read," Neon tweeted from its official account.

The studio added the hashtag #Parasite #BestPicture #Bong2020 to honor the dark comedy, the first foreign language film to win best picture. It was one of four Oscars in the historic night, which included best International film and best director for Bong Joon-ho.

However, these insult tweets do nothing constructive other than making some people (I include myself among them) feel a little better.

Trump supporters like them, too, because it gives them somebody to get pissed off about. In the end, this reality-TV world we find ourselves in is a total nightmare, and I am not sure how we can escape.
