Lawyers and IT folks on DU - Combating Foreign Election Interference

Are there any organizations that we can join to help stop help foreign interference in US elections using our legal and/or IT skills. This is neutral to any candidate. Instead, it is to cover all elections. My question is for IT professionals and lawyers, but really for all voters.

I've done Election Protection in the past, but what I'm getting at is organizations specifically targeted at stopping foreign interference.

This should obviously be a function of the US Federal and state governments, but I no longer have any confidence in that.

I don't profess to be an expert on any of this, but I'm willing to invest my free time to work on this.

The stakes are far too high to do nothing.

After what Drumpf has done I don't think any Repuke Supervisor of Elections would report meddling. If not for lack of scruples, then out of fear.

There could be separate task forces set up for:

1) All of the Secretaries of State of each US State making freedom of information requests and monitoring of procedures, flagging issues, and helping in potential litigation.

2) Local and country election registrars - same thing

3) Social media - monitoring Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc to flag abuses related to dissemination of false information.

I want to see this get worked on AND I also don't trust the part of our government that is supposed to already be doing that to do that with the current admin.
