She will decide his motion for a new trial. And assuming she denies it, and he appeals his guilty verdict and/or the denial of the new trial motion to the DC Circuit, she will have to decide whether to revoke his bail or continue it pending his appeal.

By way of examples: Blagojevich was ordered to start serving his sentence while his appeal (which ultimately was granted in part) was pending. However, Rep. Jefferson was convicted in 2009, but was not ordered to report to prison until 2012 after his appeal was denied.

I have no idea what Jackson will do in this instance.
