Publish their ideal list of judges and Cabinet appointments.
The list should include inspiring, energizing Dem candidates who dropped out like...
Booker...Yang...Harris...Julian Castro...and -- maybe eventually -- Klobuchar...Buttegieg...Warren. (Too early to say.)
Options like Kamala Harris as Attorney General...Elizabeth Warren as Secretary of Commerce...you get the idea..
Yes...all this would have to be vetted, of course...
but I believe this 2016 Republican tactic would help re-unite -- and galvanize -- Dem voters.
Just a thought...

(14,149 posts)Informing the electorate that competent people are selected in supervisory capacities to enable the government to function properly would be a big plus rather than rich donors, incompetent buffoons and cronyism capitalists habitually running the show into the ditch.

Some time ago, I started to map out how many of them could make up a cabinet.
When I was done, I thought it was a heck of a good start and an impressive group.

(7,809 posts)I applauded when Obama named HRC as Secretary of State.
We have some very very good people who would be terrific in a Democratic administration. One small problem: 4 of them on the list are senators. That would make taking back the senate even harder - and we desperately need to do that.
There are some members of the House who would excel in positions (Schiff, Nadler, and Katie Porter come to mind).
The Democratic Party has some of the most capable, professional, and intelligent people ever. Whichever Democrat wins has some of the best people in the history of the US who could set us back on the right path.

(713 posts)It is a good idea to bring together a Team Of Rivals. No matter who wins the Nomination, it would be great to see Kamala Harris as AG, for example, maybe Yang in Commerce or another position. Bring all the different candidates and ex-candidates together and say that they will support each other after the Nomination and will appoint each other to Cabinet positions no matter who wins. So, it is a good idea and a way to heal the Party after a divisive Primary season.
