Who knows, this may become a grim silver-lining.
I think there's nothing like a massive public health event to convince folks of the wisdom of the "socialization" of certain aspects of a civilized society.
Maybe the taint comes off of the dreaded "S word"?

(419 posts)Our health system in general is already overwhelmed. If every person was insured and a massive infectious outbreak occurred it would overwhelm every hospitals resources and help spread the virus faster. Doesnt matter if everyone is insured or isnt, if a massive outbreak occurred our health care system could not handle the inundation of patients.
I mean at my hospital today we are in Code ABC for all floors which means all bed crisis, no beds are available with an inundated ER. And I work at a large hospital.
