Because we live in an interconnected world, your money, job, investments, savings, etc. are determined by forces that you have little to no control over. None.
A virus outbreak in China can lead to you losing your job, your savings, and your investments. You simply do not have control. No matter how hard you work. No matter how disciplined you are about your spending or saving. At any point in time, any where in the world, something random can happen and you can be wiped out. Doesn't matter who you vote for. You have no control.
