ABC News suspended one of its veteran correspondents late Tuesday for unguarded remarks he made in a video by operatives of Project Veritas, the conservative group that records undercover footage of mainstream journalists to bolster its accusations of media bias.
The network disciplined David Wright, who reports for ABCs signature news programs, including World News Tonight, Good Morning America and Nightline. Several people confirmed Wrights suspension, but it wasnt clear what specifically prompted ABC to take action against the reporter.
Network officials reviewed the footage of Wright that Project Veritas recorded, according to people familiar with the episode. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because they werent authorized to discuss the issue.
Wright didnt respond to several requests for comment Tuesday.

I watched the video and it's edited down to "I am a socialist" - nothing before or after (and no gaps to suggest it was a stand-alone statement).
I hope ABC reverses its decision IMMEDIATELY!

(6,448 posts)1. If his personal opinions of "whatever" didn't get on the air, what
difference does it make? I know ABC News is the most conservative of the (formerly) Big Three, but this is Orwellian.
So if you get a degree in journalism, you aren't allowed to have an opinion? No wonder why FOX has all those "bubble-headed bleach blondes".
Tell those James O'Keefe wannabes to piss up a rope.
