I think it was up over 300 pts this morning and now it's up only 150.
I guess IQ45's speech was leaked.

(58,647 posts)Probably not in that range yet, but maybe. Obviously some folks think they are 'buying low' by getting in now. I'm not sure they've hit bottom yet. The potential for fertilizer hitting the ventilator when things are this high is huge. It's felt pretty bubble-like since the Trump tax cuts started pumping them up. Since then I haven't really seen that many market forces that sustain the current levels, which kind of says "bubble" to me.
JMO, I could be wrong. But it's basically back to even for the day now.

I do business with China and expected the market to fall harder and earlier than this. There are supply chain issues that are being covered up. Some factories coming back online from the holiday but others not.
I think the next drop will be when US cases are announced, something yesterday's CDC announcement is preparing us for.

The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate rose to 3.75% from 3.71% a week ago.
The 15-year fixed mortgage rate rose to 3.08% from 3.05% from a week ago.
Back around Dec 2012 when 10yr yields were at then-historic lows, 30-year mortgage rates hit 3% and a few places ticked just under 3%.
