I’ll donate as soon as you’re up and running. I’d promise a vote as well, but I think we’re in different areas. Rep. Lujan is my Congressman, soon to be Senator, I hope. I’m pulling for Rep. Torres-Small. The commercials targeting her were so very early this cycle.

.... but I’ll be coordinating a combined campaign, working to get Ben Ray elected, too.

It includes Alamogordo, Tularosa and Cloudcroft, Holloman Air Force Base.. White Sands National Park and Lincoln Forest (US National Forest).

A friend of mine used to live in Alamogordo when her husband was stationed at Holloman. The military presence around there definitely causes a red shift.

I know from personal experience how difficult this is. I will contribute to your campaign when you get Act Blue up and running.

Take one step at a time and don't try to do everything at once. PM me if you need anything. Even if it is to vent a primal scream once in awhile. Being a candidate for public office is unlike anything else and impossible to describe if you haven't done it.

the station even playing recruiting ads during the limbaugh show, for eg, like any dem in the state who gets local GOP attention

suggestion: make an issue of it. UNM has no excuse, like the 86 other universities that broadcast sports on 260 limbaugh stations.

if you want to get media attention, criticize UNM for supporting global warming, the NRA, trump, racism, etc. if other dems do that in other states, getting those students/communities to join in, it will have a national effect

i spoke with one of the UNM regents, a dem, and he said what they would all say - to make an issue of it would raise too much rukus. good.

in Sept the loudest radio station in Denver demoted limbaugh to a smaller brother station while no one will admit at this point it may be the result of low level activism around the CU community that i know has been ramping up the last decade. like many of those 260 limbaugh stations, they wouldn't want to have to make a choice between keeping limbaugh and trump/GOP and losing the school sports broadcasts that bring them community cred and ad dollars.

770 KKOB is a major political force in NM and if you make waves the state GOP will use it to attack you and may even get your opponent on their station for a softball supportive 'interview' etc. your supporters can record and transcribe those attacks and lies/distortions/exaggerations and you can use them in ads and debates, for instance.

I live in New Mexico too, in District 15 (Albuquerque). We are fortunate to have a Democratic State Senator right now. Good luck with your petition. I assume it can only be signed by residents in your district. Let us know when your FB is updated and your Act Blue account is set up. You will get a lot of support from DU.
