Stay home if you're sick? Many jobs, especially minimum-wage jobs, don't offer sick leave

Federal law, which many (if not most) states follow, doesn't require sick leave. And of those states that do require it, most (all?) don't require it if you're working less than full-time.

People, especially those working for minimum wage, can't afford to stay home if they're not being paid.

The public health effects of this could be enormous.

working those kinds of jobs are making FOOD.

I don't think we have a definitive answer to pin point the form of communication of the virus, but I would say it might be wise to hold off on the Big Macs for a while.

Donnie - you don't have to do that - go ahead and have another bucket of KFC.

all of the workers are at their desks. She passes by hundreds of ppl in an office every day. If she gets sick, she could infect the entire building easily. She also has no sick time, and would be forced to work or loose her job.

for this Libertarian nation, without right to healthcare, without many workers' rights that appear to be in effect in Europe.

I was also thinking of things like cab drivers, decently paid, who are independent contractors with a license.
Staying home means no $.
Easier said than done.
