I am down in Georgia expecting my first Grandchild today via C-Section. Last night my daughter's in laws joined us for a wonderful dinner party at my daughter's house.
Mary's father in law is a staunch Republican and politics has been off limits to us since we met. We talk Baseball, football and mondaine stuff only.
Well shiver me timbers he announced he was not voting for Trump. He prefers Bloomberg but would not vote For the orange anus no matter who we pick. I nearly fell off my chair. He has never strayed.
He is the second GOP acquaintance of mine to announce this. I have a feeling that there are many GOP moderates that have had enough from this cretin to either not vote on the top ticket or pull the lever for a Democrat.
I hope to hell I'm right. This was a very emotional night and now I await my Grandson later on] this morning.
Happy Gramps to be.

(9,426 posts)celebrate. How anyone with more than two brain cells could ever have supported tRump is shocking to me. The man is so obviously ill equiped for the job he THINKS he is doing. He is a clown, destroying this country in front of the entire world. Have a healthy, happy, democratic grandchild. Congratulations all around. Hopefully your grandchild will inherit a world where sanity prevails.

(41,691 posts)Congratulations on becoming a Grandpa!
And it's great the some of your extended family members are finally seeing the light. If he votes for Bloomberg then it will have to be in the Democratic primary, does your friend understand that? If he votes as a Dem (in the primary) then he has to register as a Democrat, am I right? The laws are different in different states.

Maybe throw in overlays of 20 or 30 of his grossest tweets.
That's it.
(Full disclosure, this was also the catchphrase for the 1946 Republican mid-term campaign that smashed the Democrats in the House and Senate)

(7,014 posts)Biden can win enough states to beat trump in November. Center/Left voters who we need in November will vote for Biden. Bloomberg is seen as buying the presidency. Many folks don't like that.
