Anyone following our cruise ship problem?

Since we're booked and have paid for a cruise later this spring, I've been paying attention to a MSC ship floating around the Caribbean Sea this week. No island will let them dock over coronavirus fears. This could really impact cruise industry and South Florida enonomies. This could be only the beginning !

But, I would still much rather fly than be stuck on a cruise ship given a choice of alternatives. The cruse ship industry seems to have had a lot of problems with Noro virus. Ever wonder why that is? I know I have.

I was ready to book a 5 day out of Ft Lauderdale to celebrate our 50th anniversary. This came up and I haven't done anything because I don't want to be stuck on a boat in the ocean with a bunch of sick people without a place to land.

it was a grimace to think they were about to embark on a vacation, which may well turn into sickness

I guess worst case they can rig something with another ship or a number of cruise lines have private islands.

Wash your hands etc. Do the things you do in normal life.
We've been on 10 cruises in the past 5 years and have never been sick during or after. We were on one in early February and have another scheduled for October and no plans on cancelling.
