Especially with Lent, etc.?

(62,444 posts)Lately, some have been paying some sort of homage to it, but in general it is the sort of ritual observance which Evangelicals tend to expressly reject as an outward expression of "good works" or earning salvation.

(12,712 posts)Lent is a Catholic celebration before Easter.
However, the Evangelicals are the end if they keep it up. Barr's speech gave that away, IMHO. They are easily deceived because they only believe, is the way I would put it. They have a lot of wolves and foxes leading the herd and they are eating conspiracy theories now like candy. It's a shoe-in as far as propaganda and getting their cooperation is concerned.

(15,084 posts)before he was arrested, tried, etc. It's not specifically an Evangelical thing. I'm Episcopalian and we have Lent as part of our church calendar. For parishioners, it is a time for reflection, self-discipline, prayer, and preparation for Easter.
But the Evangelicals are definitely hoping for the End Times and The Rapture. I figure if the Rapture happens, then maybe they can all go "up" somewhere and leave the rest of us alone and in peace.
