At press conference he was asked about his reaction to Ebola vs. now and he said it was because Ebola was much worse. When Sanjay Gupta asked if he was concerned about the higher death rate from coronavirus vs. flu, Trump said flu was worse and he downplayed coronavirus and at one point even said that the new outbreak could even be "over" already.
