This is why narcissists should never be in charge: they are dangerous.

Trump didn't accept the possibility that anything could go wrong during his "presiduncy." The risks of action or inaction is never about anyone else but himself.

Trump isn't worried about catching COVID-19 himself - he thinks he's invincible. I doubt he's concerned about anyone in his family contracting the disease. His risk, as he sees it, is that his biggest accomplishment in office, a booming stock market, could be used against him in his reelection campaign. He has no regard for the suffering of his fellow citizens.

As badly as he needs a win on this, his narcissism stops him from accepting that other people know more about this than he could ever know. He has to muzzle the professionals so he can control the narrative, even though it is his words and actions that are causing the market to tank day-by-day.

He's a poor excuse for a human being, and this is why narcisscists in power are dangerous.

He could easily be talked back into believing he's invincible.

because he's got to be very conflicted. On the one hand he wants to downplay the epidemic because it's affecting the stock market, and the economy is about the only thing left that's keeping him alive politically. But on the other hand, he's deathly scared of germs. So will he hold his Nuremberg rallies as usual, attended by germy people who will breathe in his general direction? He loves those rallies, but will he be thinking about the viruses that might also attend? And what if people stop showing up for fear of catching the bug?

But he's never been the brightest bulb either.

his ____ phobia, IMO.

I'm not certain he's a germaphobe. He raw-dogged at least one porn star this century, and tastlessly joked about STDs being his Vietnam.

I think you're on to something with "his orange supremacy." Maybe he hates physical contact with others, unless it's his micropenis. I wonder if he slathered Purell on that after his sexcapades? Have we ever seen him kiss anyone on the lips On TV?

Yes, we cannot discount the possibility of the drugs.
