What did the GWB-administration do RIGHT AFTER 9/11?

They asked the public to keep shopping, to continue with their lives.

Why? Because the GWB-administration had no idea what to do next. "Al-Qaeda determined to strike in the US" had been a distant, obscure warning. It was never considered a real threat. There was no system in place to deal with this kind of crisis, neither before nor immediately after 9/11. The whole machine of US-intelligence and US-military was just winding up. There was no flying start.

GWB asked the american people to go shopping because he had no information to work with, no plan, no idea what to do next.





Compare this to what is happening right now in the US.

What is the Trump-administration doing right now?

* The whole infrastructure for dealing with pandemics has been cut down long ago.

* A GOP-Representative lobbied the HHS to overrule the CDC and to bring infected people to the US. They were welcomed by HHS-employees without any protective measures. And there is already at least one confirmed Coronavirus-case near the airport where this happened.

* Mike Pompeo gets asked in a hearing whether the Coronavirus-crisis is real or whether it's a hoax. Afraid of offending a certain orange, he refuses to answer the question.

* The Vice-President is appointed point-man for this epidemic and immediately goes fundraising in Florida.

* All communication about the Coronavirus must get approval from Pence's press-secretary.

* Mick Mulvaney asks the american people to turn off their TVs.

They have no idea what to do next. They are trying to buy some time to come up with a plan BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE A PLAN.

"Oh, you demand answers? Here's my answer: Turn off your TVs! Go shopping! Ignore this crisis!"

1. If The Trump Administration Doesn't Want The Media To Put Out Mis-information And...

create a panic - because they want to take down Trump - then the remedy is for the Trump administration to provide the American People with up to the minute information and keep the public informed by having frequent updates as to how to deal with the virus.

By muzzling the public health experts and looking for 'miracles' - the lack of good information is making the People think that things are worse than we're not being told.

Trump and his administration is the cause of the 'panic'. They are shooting themselves in the foot and they are taking themselves down.
