Is there NO ONE who can just get a grip on the plans for the country to deal with the virus?

I sit here, panicked and afraid yet trying to be rational. I have to ask the question.

I never believed a dictatorship in the United States was a possibility. I thought there were checks and balances in place that would prohibit that from happening. Yet, I'm seeing it happen in front of my very eyes.

Trump and Pence and Cruz and Graham - and all of the other crazy asses - are NOT mature enough, knowledgeable enough, or selfless enough to handle a pandemic. Is there not some means that WE THE PEOPLE can do something?

It's been bad enough watching our ordinary, regular existence erode since Donald Trump moved into the White House. But this. THIS may be our very lives. This is NOT watching the stock market collapse. This may be watching people die.

I sincerely hope that all of the hype over the coronavirus is just that. Hype. I hope we as a nation can be successful at handling it and can, in some way, help the rest of the world. But what if we can't?

At what point will the American people as a whole say "enough"? What threshold is it ever going to take?

1. The surest way to make the "hype" reality is to do nothing in the face of the potential threat...

Acting like tough words and false bravado would in any way prevent the spread of a seriously infectious and apparently highly lethal virus is insanity.

The best way to prevent a pandemic is to over-react and prepare like it IS THE END. That way, when the idiot 20% of the population don't bother paying attention, they are less likely to be joined by large numbers of falsely mollified others. If you want to make sure to infect as many people as possible, just go on telling folks "it's all hype", "its a hoax" (BTW...just how many fucking hoaxes can one man claim in a single lifetime? Seriously...Trump has claimed so many things are hoaxes that I am stunned it seems to still carry ANY weight)...

The act of preparing to stop a viral threat has the outcome of preventing it from happening and that is when the idiot yokels start clucking about how it wasn't so serious in the first place and "see...no one died....over-reactors!"

For anyone who doubts this, I cordially invite you to travel to a site with corona virus confirmed and just contact everyone and every non-disinfected surface you can find...and then find a nice corner to sit in until you die. Ignoring a viral outbreak is the single greatest way to make it worse, with the only thing actually WORSE being downplaying the seriousness of the situation as well!

Its insane.

means nothing more than covering up whatever the truth is. That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, and frankly, just adds to the concern.

Sucks having a notorious liar for President. Especially one that has shown the incompetence he has.

Wherein, about 20-30 percent of us, just dont go to work for an extended period.

It might soon be the case that 'cannot', will be just as effective as 'will not'...

5. That may very well be true.

It may very well come to that.

Personally, I think some of these idiot Trump supporters will wake up immensely if something affects them directly. For example, if they cannot go to work for two weeks and suffer financially because of it.

BUT, the rest of us can die along with them unfortunately.

I can survive a forced absence from work for 2-4 weeks (even if I cant actually afford it, if that makes sense?).

The fact that the process of this IS GOING to kill some people, bothers me greatly, since that wouldn't otherwise be necessary if the pResident were not a complete fucking tool.

two days ago. This will make a general strike unnecessary since it's it almost inevitable that a general shutdown is on the horizon I just spoke to my sibling in California, said many are thinking it's an intentional release.

This is why anyone with a personality disorder like narcissism should never be allowed to lead an organization or nation. They put their own needs ahead of the general welfare of the organization. They are dangerous when the chips are down.
