(16,917 posts)38% won't buy it.
Isn't that the same percentage that think IQ45 is doing a fine job?

(22,065 posts)With the obvious incompetence shown day in, day out, I dare any rump supporters explain why they are still backing rump, considering that the only thing rump did is cut taxes for his billionaire buddies and donors. That's it in a nutshell. Why are farmers supporting rump? Oh wait, their crops and livestock are selling like hotcakes...opps, wait, I forgot the tariffs and such that rump slapped on everything farmers are selling.
All I can say is that I'm sure more and more farmers are under a lot of stress trying to make ends meet, and rump isn't helping one bit. The only 'farmers' making it are these mega corporate farms, which have nothing in common with the family farm that we all have memories of.

(16,917 posts)I think too many are still not willing to admit that they supported IQ45 - and there are still those that want to "put it to the lib-tards," even if it makes things worse for themselves. Example: how can ANY SINGLE FARMER ever consider voting for him?
Blue collar workers? Can they show even ONE promise that he kept? Look at the plants that have been closed since he took office - and that jobs that did NOT appear like he had promised. How can they support him? Is it because he acts like the 7th grade bully they used to hang around?
I certainly hope those numbers are dropping what with the disaster that the VIRUS is showing - cuts in departments and programs that would have/could have come in for action at this point. It was all OK when he was destroying things that affected others - but when it hits close to home.................

(22,065 posts)the services sector is taking a hit too. Besides farmers dealing w/ tariffs, etc., they are also lacking workers to pick and process their crops, a double whammy. All across the economy, there are businesses that have been taking hits (repeated) from the idiocy that rump entails. And kudlow? What a joke. He's one to not inspire confidence by any stretch of the word.
And the fed's response so far? To cut interest rates which really won't do any good as it takes time to propagate across the economy and rates are already kind of at the bottom as far as they can go (and it whams what people get on their savings accounts too, so not really a good thing either). Tax cuts? Look at what the tax cuts of 2017 did so far...nothing, zip, nada, except to give republican donors a tax cut and allowed companies to buy back their shares of stock with the extra money (and not plow back into salaries of workers of course). At least now, those that spent their savings from the tax cut of 2017 are probably regretting buying their stock back being that now, they probably can get the shares at a lower price.
The same percentage of Reich-wingers who will believe anything shat into their skulls by Fox or Hate radio.

(13,665 posts)This is what I posted in the previous thread that featured that CNN:
Only 4% of Corona drinkers would stop drinking it.
Also, I don't see where the survey says 38% of Americans wouldn't drink Corona because of the virus. It looks like 38% of the beer drinkers in the sample said they wouldn't drink it now. How many of those wouldn't drink it before?
Would be interested in seeing the survey questions.

[...]
5WPR's survey found that:
38% of beer-drinking Americans would not buy Corona under any circumstances now
Among those who said they usually drink Corona, only 4% said they would stop drinking Corona, but 14% said they wouldn't order Corona in a public venue
16% of beer drinking Americans were confused about whether Corona beer is related to the coronavirus

(16,917 posts)most serious beer experts consider it to be an "average" lager at best - benefiting from an excellent sales program:
1. It became "exotic" because it is an import - from Mexico. One wonders how they'll ever get it across "the wall" when it's finished.
2. It offers a chance to allow you your daily "fruit" allowance by using the lime with the bottle (even though legend has it that the original purpose of the lime was to keep the flies out of the beer!).

(100,038 posts)Because for any recipe that involves cooking with beer, Corona is usually a good go-to. But as far as drinking it, it's best poured down the drain, or using it to pour a beer for your homies.
