My employer and teleworking

My employer sent out an email to all staff today, asking for a teleworking agreement.

From everyone, from support to technical folks.

It seems a bit much, but I’m happy to see that support staff won’t be required to show up if we techies get to work from home.

1. My daughter's firm did the same. It's good that

individual companies are getting their plans in place, given the absence of government leadership.

2. Smart and why not? Just hope that some don't take advantage of the program and slack off...

we had that issue (slackers) where I worked at, and thus, a lot of folks lost their telecommuting rights from the company.

3. I tried that tele thing once

but it's hard to roof a house over the phone.

4. I wasn't that concerned about it until

a co-worker of my husband told him at lunch that her son and daughter-in-law had just arrived from Malaysia the night before. They'd flown in to Atlanta and drove a rental to Nashville. No quarantine for any of them. Southern Baptist missionaries all coming back stateside? Were they tested before they left? Are they being tested? Are they self-quarantining? Is anyone keeping track of them? Probably not. And SBC normally will send them out to the surrounding churches to testify on their experiences within a week or two.
