Fed to cut intrest rates?

Been watching fox business most of day just for comic relief. They keep talking about some secret weekend meeting by (?) to calm asian markets. Also on the fed cutting rates "few" times in March.

Being fox business i suspect playing just to trump.

With so much risk and bad leadership foreign investors will surely buy up our low interest rate treasuries !

I'm not in the day trading biz anymore but my friends told me this morning today an effort would be made to hold the losses whatever it took. If it still fell it would be an ominous sign.

So I'm hearing now Monday is going to be the one to watch after some statements come out over the weekend.

saying that the economy was robust, and you don't cut interest rates when the economy is robust. You need that buffer in case recession strikes. Now we face an actual crisis and there's very little padding left.

Also, it's questionable whether an interest rate cut will stimulate the economy in this situation. Fearful people aren't motivated by rate cuts to spend more, buy more, do more, travel more, eat out more, see movies. It's a waste of a cut IMO.

If you invest in bonds or are a fixed income investor, you are also getting screwed.

P.S. Bond rates in Germany are negative.
