The crisis around coronavirus has underlined Donald Trump's lack of fitness for the job, and changed the Democratic candidates' calculus.

FEB 28, 2020
Thanks to the ludicrous way the Democratic National Committee has set up the schedule this time around, by noon on Friday, the Democratic circus largely had moved out of town. (The Republican clown show, alas, was scheduled to drop in Friday night purely for lib-owning purposes, because mass gatherings of strangers are just the ticket when youre trying to deal with a global pandemic.) Pete Buttigieg appeared at the Citadel here, which is the first time that a Democratic candidate had appeared at that quasi-military throwback institution in quite a spell, and he made the salient point that maybe the president*, instead of creating a germ factory Friday night, should have stayed in Washington and done some smidgen of his job.
Silly Mayor Pete. Doesnt he understand how eternally funny the phrase, Nothing but the best people, is?
After all, it was only that same morning that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appeared before a House committee and declined to answer a question from Rep, Ted Lieu, Democrat of California, as to whether or not Pompeo thought that the coronavirus outbreak was a hoax. This was prompted by an answer thrown out at the annual CPAC gathering of flying monkeys in Washington this week by White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney. ...
The outbreak was the wild card people were warning about ever since January of 2017. Everybody knew that the president* was incapable of responding to the fundamental demands of the job, like showing up. Now, though, in the middle of his re-election campaign, with his brain still on fire from having been impeached, El Caudillo del Mar-a-Lago likely now faces a completely changed electorate, which seems to be panicking worse than he is. His Cabinet officials are all over the lot, acting as amplifiers to his incompetence and venality, which is the only real function that anyone who works for him has. This became a different campaign this week.

It is not going to be the Democratic nominee he has to fear.
It's Covid-19 running its course on a "Liberation Ticket" to unseat 45.
