I mean the jersey doesn't refer to Bernie Sanders but he hangs out with Jimmy Carter and he supports GLBTQ rights... and that didn't set any alarms off? Goes to show that country music doesn't necessarily mean conservative.

6. Garth is supposedly a registered Republican BUT...

people register for/remain in a political party for various reasons and most of his stances, reflected in a lot of his music, seem to be more left.

He also played at Obama's inauguration but didn't at Trump's saying he had commitments elsewhere. Overall he seems to try very hard to publicly appear apolitical.
