Coronavirus and public social gatherings...

This may have been brought up on DU before, so I apologize in advance...

One of the science-based recommendations to avoid exposure to viruses like the flu and coronavirus is to avoid public gatherings... Nightclubs, theaters, airplane cabins, and whatnot... I'm curious how coronavirus fears will affect campaign rallies in the near future... especially for Donald Trump who seems tho get his oxygen from his "crowds".

Thoughts?

...to wear face masks. Will they be escorted out because of optics.

That misguided kind of fear is coming... I saw a person buying a CASE of Purell at the local Walmart today (I know, but it's near where I work), and ask about why face masks were out of stock.

these viruses die quickly in the heat. I think the markets will peak in summer, it’s like a fake recovery.

...The irrational fear among a segment of our population is another. The virus may die when it gets warm, but what about public perception (which drives behavior)?
