This means there are a lot of carriers out there we know nothing about. Most likely not seeking any help or are carriers not showing symptoms. The long incubation period is really not a good thing. Anywhere up to 2 weeks.
This means it is going to spread a lot further and wider before you even have a chance to do anything about it.
Better honker down and ride the storm.

(4,149 posts)There is so much conflicting information coming to us every day from administration. We have no idea what we are dealing with. We don't even have reliable tests and no idea of who has it or who doesn't. It could be nobody, some people, or everyone. . .

(3,014 posts)Weeks ago - when it may have already been in the community. I was everywhere (in almost every neighborhood) visiting family and friends.
My daughter and I have a mild upper respiratory infection, and I assumed it was from my husband (who has had a little cold for severe weeks) or the plane ride. We are back at our current home in the Midwest and have been going about our day like anyone else.
Part of my training is in virology so I am not overly concerned we have the novel corona virus. But it does highlight how fast this thing could spread.
Geesh.
