I like the dark days of winter and the longer summer nights. It works for me.

Up here in the PNW the sun would come up before 5 am in June. I'd rather it were up till 10.

And going to work.

It is horrible for us.

Have a great summer either way.

Soon, winter will be non-existent anyway. Just the sun has a different angle.

Winter, summer, makes no difference to me. 4-5 hours a night tops. I don't like going to work in the dark, though.

It’s one hour on a Sunday. Get over it.
As for suggestions that we have DST all year, I seem to recall (I’m old) that we did one year to “save energy” in the 70s. Parents were upset about kids waiting for the school bus in the pitch black. I think the current time system works well for most people.

I have to be to work to open.

She doesn't.

Not a good thing her losing an hour of sleep ANYTIME. She can barely get to / any sleep some nights.

...to me. Do people never cross time a time zone or two when taking a road trip? Does that throw everything off? And if so, for how long? The conventional wisdom is one day per time zone. I have parents who say it takes their young children 2 weeks to adjust to the time change. Do they never stay up an hour later than usual if there a long is it at grandma’s house?

Just leave it be.

If schools or businesses want to change their schedules to accommodate the seasons then let them.

We're not all farmers anymore, nor do we all get home from work just in time to have dinner and select between three television channels for our daily dose of propaganda, commercials, and highly censored entertainment.

There's not one good reason for everyone to be in sync.
