What do you use that comes from China

that you expect to be in short supply soon?
I actually bought shower curtain liners today and two mats for the bath tub.
Tomorrow I'll stock up on Chinese cooking stuff. We got a lot of batteries of all sizes over the holidays so we're good for hurricane season.

Went to a wholesale yesterday and noticed that the cost of Lysol spray has almost doubled.

I also don't see any need to buy additional shower curtain liners, or bath tub mats, or batteries, or Chinese cooking stuff. Why anyone would think they'd need extra cell phone charger cables is beyond me. I don't think I've ever had any one of them wear out, and I already have two or three of those.

Currently I'm on a cruise to Hawaii, lucky me. Back home I have what for me is a lot of food in the freezer. When I return home I'll buy a bit more of fresh vegetables, but not too much as at the beginning of April I'm planning an Amtrak trip to Seattle.

Apparently I'm the only person on DU that thinks these fears are overblown.

12 bucks for each for Clorox wipes which I was lucky enough to find at Walgreens because they had just received a new order.

My knowledge is shallow on this, but I've read before that we import massive amounts of food ingredients from China that could cause some shortages. I'm thinking soups, prepared meals, and many basic cooking staples.

The list of products we rely on from China would shock and frighten most Americans. Think auto repair parts (including batteries and lamps) and components to manufacture and repair most all appliances and electronic items.

Everyone needs to learn how to make disinfectants and cleaning products themselves from natural products. For example, Tea Tree oil is a very powerful disinfectant and antibacterial, as are many essential oils such as orange, peppermint and oregano oils.

We purchased a pulse oximeter. U.K. Dr. John Campbell has been giving daily updates on the corona virus. In one of his videos, he mentioned and explained how a pulse oximeter measures your oxygen levels. Basically, ones oxygen levels should not be below 90. If it's below 90, it could indicate pneumonia besides a few other serious health issues.

I've been doing daily pulse measuring on SO and myself and recording the numbers to see what is normal for us. I do this because I remember when dear daughter was a baby and taking her in to get her baby vaccines. I'd have to reschedule because "she was running hot" or have to undress her and wait for her to try to cool down before getting any vaccine. She was just a hot runner as a baby so they made a special note stating she was always above normal temperature.

Take a good look at the items you buy. You might need a magnifying glass, but many, many items come from China.
