Need to cut Social Security to help during the pandemic? Sure, here's how:

(Except of course you know [Redacted] isn't doing this...)

Lift the income cap.

Institute an income "floor" below which the deductions do not apply.

Implement a time-limited percentage reduction for everyone in between.

Talk to the economists who specialize in Social Security funding to work out the details.

This is not rocket science, it's actually fairly simple.

And it would work, without permanently harming the availability of every working American's savings to fund their retirement through the Social Security system.

But that's not really what they want, is it?
