Mark my words. Trump will lose in November.

The country is sick and tired of Trump. Disaffected/pissed Trump voters (there are many) will vote for Joe, as well as an energized "blue wave" of Democrats (think 2018 in spades).

That's the good news.

Now the bad news...

It will slowly dawn (if it hasn't already) on Trump and his sycophants that defeat is coming. This will be entirely unacceptable to them as it kinda puts a damper on the whole Autocracy/Christo Fascist/Right-Wing Authoritarianism thing they have built and is probably their only shot at. Additionally, there is a real good chance Trump is going to prison if the State of New York decides to intervene after Trump is ousted.

Not to be alarmist, but I do not believe Trump will go gently into that good night. Desperation will bring ratf*cking of the highest order. I foresee election tampering of some sort followed by Democratic outrage followed by the now familiar Trump tactic of, "Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it?" followed by masses in the streets.

Now more good news...

Whether he goes gracefully (doubt it) or not, he will still be removed; one way or another.

people keep saying they can't wait until November and I try to remind all that it's not over until January 20... a lot of damage can be done in that time

it's just a subset of his overblown ego.

It's all about "looking good." And he's got a SERIOUSLY warped idea of what looks good.

him a mansion in Siberia. He know how much trouble he is in, that's why he is fighting so hard to keep his taxes and the Mueller report hidden.

I think he didn't realize how much was going to be displayed in daylight when he became president. I think if he really knew he wouldn't have run.

Unfund this shitshow and shut it down until January 2021 if you need to.

Dems better be ready with flyaway teams to every fucking corner of the globe and to every executive branch cubicle in every godforsaken Dumbfuckistan Murika shithole to escort every damn Donnie Short Fingers appointee out of the fucking door.

7. DT "can't" win is a dangerous message.

It depresses turnout.

With the heightening level of voter suppression in this nation, we need an enormous turnout to overcome it (not just the issues of voter ID, etc., but the devastating effect of systematic cut backs in resources in "certain areas" that lead to long lines that a portion of potential voters do not, or cannot, wait in).

The most effective way to drive out more of the people who want to see DT gone is to face the reality that he could win. (And he absolutely COULD -- particularly if Biden and his supporters keep dismissing and belittling the hopes of the people who support the policies promoted by Warren and Sanders.)

The feeling just hasn't dissipated. Hearing echos of the 2016 certainty and overconfidence is definitely a major trigger.

Somehow, I'm ok readling about what he says -- get angry, but not physically ill. However, whenever I see clip of him longer than about 10 sec, the sinking, nauseous, awful feeling returns. I get my news from printed sources these days. His horrible face and voice is unavoidable on the cable shows.

Also, negativity is not an attractant. ABB was stupid in 2004 and ABT is stupid in 2020. We would be far better off if we had a young charismatic nominee who our party was enthusiastic about, regardless of the opponent.

It reminds me of sports betting: Betting with teams is successful. Betting against teams is a flawed strategy. Without exception every successful sports bettor I have ever known is a "bet with" type and not a "bet against" type.

When you bet against you are inheriting someone...a team or individual that may have high number of flaws. When you bet with then you are identifying someone without those flaws.

11. The Only Thing I'm Worried About Is The Vote-Hacking
Tue Mar 10, 2020, 11:14 PM
Mar 2020

In a fair election, Biden will clean his clock. But we know the Russians will interfere. Many have said that if we show up in big enough numbers, the vote-hacking won't matter. I don't understand the logic behind that statement (can't the hackers just make the vote totals whatever they want them to be?), but I feel confident that voter turnout will dwarf the 2018 blue wave.

I believe it's more important strategically to take McConnell down. He's a democracy battering ram with or without trump. He is and will remain a cancer to our nation until we have him removed, surgically or otherwise.
