Bethel church is even canceling missionary trips and imploring its faith healers to stay away from local hospitals, The Sacramento Bee reports.

The only good in this is that they are doing the correct thing and not doubling down on blind faith.

I hold no brief for the people at Bethel, but it's nice to see everyone ridicule them for doing the right thing.

(14,918 posts)and listening to sound medical advice. Otherwise, this could be like the tragic exacerbation of the crisis in Daegu, South Korea by the messianic cult megachurch. I am willing to give them some credit for stepping outside their dogma and facing reality. I don't think it is helpful to laugh at them when they do so.
