Just a reminder of the perfect storm we are in:

Even before the 2016 election, a mild recession was expected for the mid-2020s, due to the cyclical nature of capitalist economy.

In 2017/18, the forecast was changed to the recession happening in 2020-2024. And the reason given was Trump's economic policies.

In late 2019, the forecast was changed to 2021-2022, with some economists even speculating it could hit as early as late 2020. And the reason given was Trump's economic policies.



And here we are. A mild recession that was supposed to happen one or two years from now is now complemented by the economic turmoil of the coronavirus.
