Hunkering down for 14-30 days starting yesterday might be the only thing that saves some of us.

I've got lupus and just had a bad case of shingles on my face. If I get exposed, or my wife or kid, I'm quite possibly not going to vote this November.

I've been prepping my house with supplies for a week now. It may already be too late.

I've set up the spare bedroom in case I get sick. My papers are in order in a folder with my financials and wishes. I hope I don't have to tell them where that box is hidden, but there's a note in my wallet referencing it's locale.

I'm freaking out but trying to remain cool in front of my wife and kid (he's on string break this week and I haven't told em that they're not going back to school next week yet. I assume all schools in Florida will be shuttered soon).

I'm trying to keep it together but if I have a dream tonight about either an elderly Black lady telling me to come to Nebraska or a blackbird, I'm going to lose it.

I had taken a social media break for a month, but that shits out the window now.

Imma smoke a bowl and hit the showers.
(Will prob self delete)

Fuck.

I really feel for people like you. And I get mad when people say “I’m young and in good health, why should I care?” It’s so selfish.

I have parents in their eighties, and many other friends with health issues. I worry for them. And now, I’ll worry for you too. Good luck and keep us posted.

you've got a plan. We're hunkering down, too. Hopefully, the powers that be make decisions that allow non-essential personnel to stay home and not spread disease, flattening the curve.

tell them where the box is.

About once a year, we have an open conversation with my parents about financial matters, death plans, changes in how they are handling my brother's trust. It makes it a lot easier on everyone for things like that to be out in the open.

I have asthma and am currently recovering from bronchitis, so if this virus hits me, I'm likely to be in trouble. So I pulled my kid out of school last Friday (homeschooling her), we moved into our new house this weekend, and I'll be teaching online from now on. We still have a few things to remove from our old apartment, and my hubby is moving into an apartment near his work, since he works at a hospital. So by the weekend we should be able to stay put for the foreseeable future. I've been stocking up and don't shop in the stores anymore.

We'll sit here and hope that we're not destroyed, because hope is all we got.

Cheers.

Now if my homegrown would finish, I'd be all set.
