Listen to the folks in Italy who are warning us about what's coming if we don't take action. (Original Post) Dennis Donovan Mar 2020 OP

Everyone stay home... do not leave.

wash your hands often.

No events, no church, no sports, no rallies, no nothing.

WFH when possible.

No going out.

Now there is a huge problem if we do that... many many (most) people have no money in the bank for this sort of thing, most employers can't keep people on a payroll if they have no money coming in.

Which is why I support a 30 day holiday... we don't pay bills, rent, mortgages, and we each get a check from the government for $1000 or $2000 for food. Only essential people (fire, police, power, sewer, water, delivery) still work... but only with protective gear.

I wasn't intending to have a complete list.

Just two core ideas...

1. Everyone stays home and we take a 30 or 40 day pause... on everything

2. Anything you need is delivered (like Amazon or Grubhub) only with workers that have protective clothing and training on keeping themselves and your packages virus free (as possible). Same with the warehouse workers.
