The really frustrating part is we almost made it

Like everyone else here I’ve been terrified of the prospect of Trump being in power during a national emergency. Against all odds we almost made it. Sure, his administration has been a malignant tumor. But we’re on another level now.

and if trump appoints even 1 more SCOTUS justice there will be no recovering from corporate-controlled right wing authoritarianism in our lifetimes.

Failing that, once we control the presidency and the senate, it will be time to increase the number of SC judges. And Biden may indeed have sufficient political capital to pull that off.
