and a lot less harsh to your skin.

When you wash your hands sing (in your head please otherwise people will think you are nuts) "Happy Birthday" or the Alphabet song (at a normal cadence) and you'll be fine.

go around a lot and can't use a public bathroom for whatever reason.

For some reason the hand sanitizer is all sold out everywhere but the bath aisle has TONS AND TONS AND STACKS AND STACKS AND PALLETS of bar soap, when that is the most recommended thing from the CDC.

Two different orders for hand sanitizer
Two different orders for medical masks

Three have failed and the other is pending ...

My wife made some hand sanitizer

91% Isopropyl Alcohol
Aloe Vera 100% Gel

Mix 2/3rd alcohol with 1/3 gel to get 60% alcohol concentration

You'll need a bottle(s) to put it in
Maybe a funnel to help pour it into the bottle

We made a bottle for each of us, a bottle for each entrance of the house and one for the car. And we can make more.

We got disposable gloves. Would have liked the masks for when it gets worse and you have to go to the doctor or shopping. We're not looking at making our own masks.

might check the big home and garden stores. When grocery shelves were emptied last weekend, Lowe's had plenty of more than one brand.

We know just-in-time deliveries of normal scheduled amounts have resulted in emptied shelves between deliveries. What I'm wondering is how well manufacturers are meeting suddenly greatly increased demand.

Most people don't normally wash their hands more than once or twice in a day -- if that, and don't necessarily use soap on those, much less disinfectants on their keys and doorknobs.

I bought both of them as they were being sold together.

I'm sure I was overcharged but I bought them anyway as there is none around here either.

I managed to find a box of alcohol hand wipes 2 weeks ago however.

Otherwise, I'm screwed and very afraid.

If I catch this shit, it will likely finish me off I fear as I have MS and had 10 infections in the past year or so.

In any event, even if I contract it, I do not care to expose others!

I'll take all of the blessings I can get believe me.

Feeling alone and scared is not good.

That said, I have my 3 cats.

Chewy had (has?) a great sale on cat food right now. I had $125 worth of cat food delivered the other day and I found cat litter at Walmat for $6.48 for 30 lbs. I had this delivered 2 weeks ago and bought 150 lbs. of it seeing where this was headed! They were doing free deliveries at that time but now you can only buy one 30 lb. bag but seemingly all you want of 50 lb. bags which I cannot lift!

Stocked up catwise anyway!

My daughter told me she was looking for glycerine or aloe to mix with 70% alcohol to make her own and was having trouble finding any. I thought about other products and realized hair gel might work. I told my friend and she said that maybe I could style the hair on my knuckles into a Mohawk. I told her I was afraid my fingers might get stiff. I experimented and my idea does work. I didn't measure and just made a small amt. I bought several bottles of hand samitizer last fall, but since I'm home a lot, don't need to use it, so have it for now.

My friend got glycerine at her grocery store and was going to make some hand sanitizer. She pointed out that KY jelly is mostly glycerine, so if push comes to shove, it would probably work. Lol

If you have a bottle, you can add some alcohol to it. Some brands thicken up, others get runny, but either way, it extends it. Hope you find some.

Pour in a liberal amount of alcohol till saturated. Zip baggie.

As long as you keep the baggie zipped it will last a good while.
