That's not at all what's happening here. (In NYC.) I walked into our local supermarket mid morning. It was mostly restocked (barring Clorox and Lysol cleaning products). And it was chill yesterday.

I haven't been to the Wegmans in BK yet, as it's not quite in my neighborhood. But I have a hard time believing they're able to track that closely for extended periods of time. Maybe the cashier didn't know clearly what he/she was talking about.

I would not be able to buy today- I asked the store manager and he said they wanted to have enough for everyone who needed and this was to discourage hoarding or getting back on line to buy more. I asked when it would reset on my card and he said he did not think anytime soon. Not much on shelves anyway

As long as that’s per day. You could say they’re pushing their loyalty card but I’ve seen grotesque levels of panic buying or hoarding or whatever you want to call it. From their POV they have to maintain some reliability of supply so people don’t have to rely on chance to get what they need when they need it. That’s good for consumers too.

I can see some people in a position of risking their health every day as they journey to the market to get food for that day.

But then I also realize we are all in a position of damned if we do, damned if we don't. I wish the best to all affected.

inside when you can only buy 2 at a time.

Not good to hoard so others can't buy anything.. but of 2 of each?

A change in hours. 7AM to 9PM, allowing them to restock.

So it's not like they can divert product from another state to meet demand.
