(3,538 posts)If you dont want to GET the virus, imagine that you already HAVE the virus, and how you should behave if you want to avoid spreading it to others.
That premise would probably preclude heading down to the local restaurant or bar and breathing on everybody. Nunes is a stupid ass.

(38,334 posts)We had a meet-up with far-flung family yesterday in San Francisco. We've been looking forward to this since January.
We ate in an Asian restaurant. It was very strange. Restaurant employees were wearing masks and gloves, and there were big bottles of hand sanitizer on various counters for customers to use.
I can't imagine how horrifying this crisis is for restaurants and other similar businesses. Nearly everyone in my family has worked in the food service industry at various times. Two of my siblings have owned small restaurants and know what a stressful business it is... which is why they are no longer in it.

(16,858 posts)I'm sure it's a lot worse now, with all the virus worries. I've thought about what the restaurant workers are going to do without work in the coming months. Most live a precarious existence. I hope the government will at least be able to give food stamps to all of the people who are out of work. The government really should give relief checks to all who need it. Something's going to have to give or we could have riots.

Being out of work will add to her student loan debt.
The loss of student business will be devastating to small restaurants near the college.
