He could raise a boatload of revenue and not have to raise rates.
That would be a perfect argument for fairness, ie most people aren't using these deductions = unfair.

Cleaning up the tax code makes doing taxes easier too.

only we don't have insurance that will cover the cost of the mortgage on the wars.
The wars are being fought ON CREDIT, NOT on current tax-dollars.
When the wars end, paying off the financing for them will be just beginning.
