on my first and only tour of France. My bus had a traveling cold bug going from one passenger to the next. At Lourdes there were huge lines of people waiting to go into the church and to get some special "blessed" water. So many were suffering from disfiguring diseases and more. They were in wheelchairs, on stretchers, pairs of priests were carrying candles on their shoulders like a large tree trunks, etc. Large public speakers had a voice telling everyone outside "Shhhh, shhhhh" like it was coming from the heavens. I filled my empty water bottle since I was thirsty. The next day I got sick. So much for the blessed water. Did I mention I am and have been an atheist?
