WATCH Dr. Fauci totally lose it:

Trump says "Sect Pompeo is EXTREMELY busy, so I'd like him to go back to the State Dept, or the DEEP STATE Dept as I like to call it."
Watch Tony Fauci completely lose it.
Thought balloon over Fauci's head, "Gotta remember I'm here to save lives..."

The face palm was at his hairline and the slow slide was away from his eyes, nose and mouth.

I'm not sure I could have managed it as well under the circumstances.

Also, he's not looking well. I hope one of Big Dummy's adoring crowd hasn't infected him.

work around him for the good of the nation. He knows he can not get himself fired or no information of value will reach the people. What a tragedy. What an absurd place Fauci finds himself in. What a disgrace it is that the temper of a dangerous fool takes up even a second of this man's time.

response. We have no way of knowing whether the stifled laughter, and I agree that is exactly what we saw, is being in on the joke and agreeing with it or being so shocked the body reacted spontaneously.

Why?

Shock / violating expectations is exactly how humor works.

We know Trump is dumb as a stump (stares into the sun without protection during solar eclipse FFS),

But Fauci is supposed to know better. Why do these "smart" people stand a foot away from others, setting a terrible example for the rest of the country? Touching the podium repeatedly, after the person before them also did?!!

Granted, he might not have access to the very latest data and government actions
but he knows this as well as anyone, if not better.

He could make many media appearances, and maybe have a steady gig at
CNN or MSNBC. If he went to Fox, I'd totally lose respect for him.

His laughter was the involuntary laughter of the lead character of a farce who at some point realizes he is in fact in a farce, and yet can't do anything about it and is probably doomed.
