Attention HEB hoarders (TEXAS)
Starting today, my husband's store has posted a notice at every entrance that states the following:
Out of an abundance of care and caution for all H-E-B customers, we will not accept returns on the following categories that were purchased in anticipation of the Coronavirus outbreak: --- I just love seeing a big old backhanded Fuck You first thing in the morning.

1. Maybe the hoarders will be selling on the side of the road
I hope every retailer does the same.

2. Good.
It's been difficult to find paper towels, bath tissue, and hand sanitizer where I live. Other than Tylenol, they seem to have other medicines in stock.

4. HEB has had TP, but you need to get there when it's there
The supply is limited both in quantity and varieties. Husband sent me a picture of his TP/paper towel aisle after it had been stocked for the day, and I nearly cried at how bare it looked. Just got a picture of the salsa aisle, same thing.
I understood at last why he said it was Soviet Union, 1976, in nearly every part of his store. I was willing to risk shopping if the store was like it used to be, but it's not. So I won't bother. I'd only be frustrated at the Third World conditions, so he's doing day-to-day shopping for us as things we need show up. I take that back. We're not even at Third World status. I've lived in a Third World country (border Mexico), and even they didn't have conditions that bad. |

5. Also, the Tylenol...
Is because France said that CV-19 patients did better with acetaminophen than any other pain reliever/analgesic. That's why it's gone. Don't know when the generics can get us replacements. All the pharma labs are swamped right now.

7. actually what they said steroidal anti-inflammatory meds were contraindicated.....
Meaning NSAID medicines like tylenol were preferred over ibuprofin. But there are a lot of NSAID's; tylenol, aspirin, alieve, etc.
People just hear tylenol and hoard it. Just like they clear out the chlorox aisle but ignore pool chlorine, which has the same active ingredient and can be mixed with water to the same strength as chlorox. |

12. The French specifically listed
Paracetamol, which is acetaminophen—better known as Tylenol here:
Health Minister Olivier Veran, who has also worked as a neurologist, tweeted on Saturday that "taking anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, cortisone...) could be an aggravating factor of the infection. If you have a fever, take paracetamol. If you are already on anti-inflammatory drugs or in doubt, ask your doctor for advice." https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/03/16/health/coronavirus-ibuprofen-french-health-minister-scn-intl-scli/index.html Unlike Agolf Twitter, I didn’t pull what I did out of my ass. I said it because I read the above. |

8. I Personally Think They Should Accept Returns
A $10 restocking fee should be charged and donated to local food banks.

13. They can't.
1) The stuff could be infected now.
2) They simply don’t have the space to take it all back and then stock it. |

10. part of the problem is the store
They should limit what one customer can buy to a reasonable amount.
