A question that a reporter should ask Donald Trump:

"Mr President, in one of your last rallies, you called the coronavirus threat a "hoax" by the Democrats. Many people believed you. Can you look straight into the camera and tell America that it was never a "hoax" and that everyone should take it very seriously and follow the instructions of the healthcare experts that know what they are talking about?"

And please don't call it a "nasty" question.

He'll deny calling the virus a hoax and say that what was, and still is, a hoax, is the Democrats' claim that he wasn't taking the virus seriously.

in other words asking him that just gives him another opportunity to explain away the hoax comment and take credit for dealing with the virus.

and that the "hoax" was the Democrats claiming he wasn't taking the virus seriously.

And to be honest, if you actually read the transcript of his South Carolina rally speech (where he made the hoax remark), that is a plausible interpretation of what he said.

So I think there is absolutely nothing to be gained by giving him a platform to again blame the Democrats for attacking his "perfect" handling of the virus.

"Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus, you know that right? Coronavirus, they’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs. You say, “How’s President Trump doing?” They go, “Oh, not good, not good.” They have no clue. They don’t have any clue. They can’t even count their votes in Iowa. They can’t even count. No, they can’t. They can’t count their votes.
One of my people came up to me and said, “Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.” That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything. They tried it over and over. They’d been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning. They lost. It’s all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax. But we did something that’s been pretty amazing. We have 15 people in this massive country and because of the fact that we went early. We went early, we could have had a lot more than that. We’re doing great. Our country is doing so great

The press SHOULD ask that question...the problem is, they won't. I don't know if it's access, cowardice, or threats from their editors, but our damn press, with too few exceptions (bless Yamiche Alcindor, and keep her safe), are on their damn knees to this asshole. If he doesn't like a question, he turns on the reporter and calls the question "nasty". He lies constantly, and they know it, but again, he never gets called on it. Peter Alexander even admitted the question that caused Trump to melt down the other day was intended to be a "softball". Why? Why do they feel this idiot deserves "softball" questions? His "handling" of this crisis has caused his ratings to go UP.

This country is in trouble. Right now, the only thing keeping this country from sinking into a Russian style "democracy" is The House and The Press. If they don't get off their damn knees soon, we're not going to make it to the November elections. He'll call them off, or bomb someone, declare a national emergency, and declare himself in charge "for the duration". Which will never end. Oh, and somebody seriously needs to have Joe Biden's back. If Vlad isn't done with Donald yet, and it looks like Joe's going to take it in November, Vlad will have him killed. It's just the way he does things.

But a couple of days ago, he had actually cracked 50% approval. https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-approval-rating-on-handling-of-coronavirus-skyrockets It's on it's way back down, of course. According to 528, he's back down to his normal 43%.

Rachel has been calling for the press to stop covering his daily briefings on this thing, and I think she's right. All he does is get up there and spew lies, which really endangers us all. Look at those idiot kids on Florida beaches for Spring Break. I wonder how many of them are going to bring that damn virus back to their elderly grandparents.

The clips show reporters asking Obama serious, tough questions about the rollout of the ACA. In contrast, the media lets Trump away with flat-out lying because they don’t correct his lies in real time but after the fact when the lie is already gaining ground. I am so disappointed in the mainstream media. They are portraying Trump as an effective leader.

With him standing at the podium taking questions, have a reporter say...

"This is directed at (fill in the name)..."

If he starts rambling, say, "The American poeple would like to hear from X."

Something like that.

Just make him non-consequential. Like it doesn't even matter that the President of the United States is even standing up there. Deny him oxygen.
