What WILL happen is the cons will not give in at all, they want to steal billions and will, and for the sake of people and LIVES the dems will give in...

There are a LOT more of us (primarily urban, growing suburban) than them.

We GOT the popular vote.

We DON'T GOT the electoral college, and THAT is what the divide is all about. (All the EC vote needs is a little tweaking by VLAD... and presto, changeo...)

We have become a democracy ruled by the tyranny of the minority. Until the EC is addressed, that is not going to change.
