All that will accomplish is locking in your losses, and giving your shares away to someone who will profit immensely from your loss later.
The markets will come back. They always do. Take it from someone who has made all the mistakes one can make.
I have made a living investing by two rules.
1. When things look like they just can't get any worse, it's because they can't. Buy.
2. When things look like they just can't be any better, it's because they can't. Sell.
Counter-intuitive as hell, but it works.

I'm not counting on any of it. I've deferred all dreams and not even looking.

Perhaps the families of my 3 children, all in their early 30s, including my grandchildren can benefit from it.

the jackass era has been marked by the biggest upward and downward moves in history in the market.

We are likely to see the market regain a lot of the losses within a reasonable amount of time.

Whatever you do, we are well past the point to pull anything out of it ...

Not trying to discount your concerns.

Take a step back, try not to look at it.

Check back in come the fall.

Best wishes.

I don't envy that because it will take a long time with GOP obstruction.

My main wish after everyone's health and well-being is for us to destroy Trump so badly that the GOP ceases to be a viable political influence in this country for at least a generation. Think FDR thrashing Hoover.

which is driving indexes down. Investors aren't even holding solid dividend companies. As evidence look at the highest quality S&P components and ETF funds. They're down as much as everything else.
