Believe it. This is worse than the 1929 stock market crash.

Our 401k now has less than we invested. We are near 80.

We are sick at the
meaningful loss of our lifesís savings and work.

6. Do not sell.

All that will accomplish is locking in your losses, and giving your shares away to someone who will profit immensely from your loss later.
The markets will come back. They always do. Take it from someone who has made all the mistakes one can make.
I have made a living investing by two rules.
1. When things look like they just can't get any worse, it's because they can't. Buy.
2. When things look like they just can't be any better, it's because they can't. Sell.
Counter-intuitive as hell, but it works.

11. Good advice. Hold on! Don't sell!

I'm not counting on any of it. I've deferred all dreams and not even looking.

Perhaps the families of my 3 children, all in their early 30s, including my grandchildren can benefit from it.

14. We keep buying...

... we're getting some great "bargains" that will really pay off later on.

10. So the cycle continues, another Democratic President is going to need to save the country again

after Republicans destroy the country. The market has zero confidence in Trump and Republicans.

12. They are going to be itching to bolster it back up

the jackass era has been marked by the biggest upward and downward moves in history in the market.

We are likely to see the market regain a lot of the losses within a reasonable amount of time.

Whatever you do, we are well past the point to pull anything out of it ...

Not trying to discount your concerns.

Take a step back, try not to look at it.

Check back in come the fall.

Best wishes.

15. Biden is near 80 and he's going to have to fix this mess

I don't envy that because it will take a long time with GOP obstruction.

My main wish after everyone's health and well-being is for us to destroy Trump so badly that the GOP ceases to be a viable political influence in this country for at least a generation. Think FDR thrashing Hoover.

16. Indexing is exacerbating ETF liquidations

which is driving indexes down. Investors aren't even holding solid dividend companies. As evidence look at the highest quality S&P components and ETF funds. They're down as much as everything else.
