Just watched it again. It was PRESIDENT OBAMA'S last dinner as PRESIDENT, and it was SO depressing to sit there and listen to this brilliant man - and then think of what we have in his place now.
Watch it - and really listen, especially at the end when he is talking about the press corps.
Then, just TRY to imagine IQ45 being in that same place - saying those things.
NAH! Just grab a drink and toast to what we once had.....................

darn
The dinner has had an interesting history since, especially the 2018 one where Michelle Wolf created some controversy with her presentation:
It was "interesting!"
So, the next year, they went to an historian (yawn....).
The pResident* has yet to attend one as pResident* - especially since PRESIDENT OBAMA truly skewered him at the 2011 dinner:
It was brutal - and fantastic!!!!
But, let's get through the current administration and find some hope in the future.
