I just burst into tears

My husband and I were watching the local evening news when the story of the man and wife who listened to impotus and took some variation of the chloroquine drug he was pushing to cure Covid-19. He died and the wife was being interviewed from ICU/critical care. All I could think of was impotus killed her husband and left her a widow. I looked at my wonderful husband and just broke down.

I'm not a violent person, but I would give literally anything to see that happen right now. He's going to get a whole lot more people killed because he's such a POS. Just a punch or a slap across the face, anything. I'm not picky.

I think that might hurt him more than physical pain.

Hmmmm his hairpiece falls off, he literally shots himself during one of his televised propaganda briefings. I know not very creative, but I’m so upset I just want him to suffer like the poor widow is suffering.

But he's such a blithering psychopath that I don't think him getting punched would do it. This might be the scariest thing to happen to the country if he gets his way. He would essentially be committing genocide.

For someone to be humiliated, it seems to me there has to be some level of concern or care in that person.

Trumpy is notably devoid of those characteristics.

He is always complaining how this or that person or entity is "unfair" to him.

I wonder exactly what he thought, while he sat there being the butt of Obama's rapier wit.

Other than "I'll show you, you.....blah blahblah"

There are people right here on DU who are older and compromised who have talked about their futures, and there are nurses and doctors here, and people who have family members who are compromised.

In my life I know three people who have health conditions that put them in danger.

There’s a lot to cry about right now.

And Trump just compounds the worst parts on a daily, no, hourly basis.

cry when I am very touched or happy. But this time the tears came out in a torrent of anger and I couldn’t stop. My husband is like your three people, very high risk. Our concern for them is probably always there just below the surface and then come bursting up every so often.

The fact that it happened to only this one couple shows that the stupid was not widespread. Sometimes, the highest aspiration a person can achieve is being a good example of a bad example.
