Pandemics expose our government as being reactionary, not pro-active

This is why we need POLITICIANS in politics, not businesspersons....and why a government that governs is essential, not a government that is in the business of making money.

To those who thought otherwise, I hereby extend two middle fingers and a primal yell for good measure.

to "W" then. Not a snowflakes chance in hell Obama could have gotten any major plan to increase preparedness through the senate.

Trump only tore stuff down that could have helped. He can't show that he or his people even considering improving the system. Oh. And those pandemic response team people that were supposedly still there but after the reorganizing, under different titles. Just what can you show they did? Unless of course they were sitting around doing nothing, which you claimed was the reason for getting rid of them.

that to say politicians who understand the role of the central government. This event is tailor made as an example of what the primary role of government is. And I don't think that's even a liberal view. The problem is, among a trillion other things, Trump is not educated enough or smart enough to figure out on his own what government's legitimate role by almost any ideology is. He wants Governors to duke it out for supplies in the middle of a national crisis? Just no. Nobody's idea of legitimate government.

Assails the author for not excluding Democrats in admonishing the government.

Come on people. You think this post was about Obama? Or the Democrats in the House? Seriously?

TRUMP and his administration, in concert with crazy-ass GOPPERS in the House and Senate, are the culprits, and that shouldn't have to be reiterated. Geez.

The psychophants in red hats wanted a President that would make America rich, not well-governed but rather ungoverned since they hate government so much, so they hired what they perceived to be a fantastic billionaire businessman to run the government. That was the stupidest thing to ever base a vote on, and millions will perish because of their greed, prejudice and dearth of intelligence.

And in case you missed it, they are all REPUBLICANS.

We’re still fucking around while other countries have had their economic response to the virus in place for days and weeks. We have 50 different governors doing 50 different things. 50 legislatures. Thousands of mayors and city councils.

Dump has made this exponentially worse because he’s a shit for brains grifter, but even in the best of times it doesn’t seem like our system is designed to move rapidly to solve complex problems in the modern world.
