Just returned from lawyers office, signed a Do Not Resuscitate order.

I stated in plain english I didn't want to be hooked up to machines if I should fall ill when the stock market and economy were in trouble.

DNR orders don’t require a lawyer, and of course can’t be conditioned on outside events. OP Should have used the thingy

If you're serious, this is an unbelievably I'll conceived decision, but if you're joking when real people are dying by the thousands then this is tasteless and unacceptable.

depends on the selection of the right patsy. The villain must be easily recognizable and the subject of wide public scorn, disapproval and condemnation.

Rewrite your joke with Trump as the antagonist instead of yourself and it will take on an entirely different flavor.

It's temporary not rest of life for C-19 recovery?

Others are sick of their golden years, perhaps.

Others are depressed AF.

....and a myriad of other reasons....

I however remain FURIOUS and await the fate of a bunch of older than me folks and I am no spring chicken either, so my own arse is in the medium risk category and I am acting like it!

Good Luck!

It might be different state to state but an actual DNR requires a physician's approval. You can leave a suicide not saying DNR but unless you have a verifiable terminal medical condition, they are going to try and save you.
