https://stanfordmedicine.app.box.com/v/covid19-PPE-1-2In this materials science study of N95 face masks, two disinfection methods which do not reduce the filtration efficiency of the meltblown layer after an appreciable number of treatment cycles were found:
Method 1: 75°C Hot Air (158 degrees F), (30 mins) for 20 cycles
Method 2: UV (254 nm, 8W, 30 min) for 10 cycles. Steam treatment causes filtration efficiency to drop to ~85% after 5 cycles, and ~80% after 10 cycles.
I use my dryer shelf insert and use an infrared temperature reader. Watch out for the metal clip coming off the nose bridge. I glued mine back on.

(840 posts)1. 39 million masks located by SEIU
Service workers union representing 1.9 million healthcare workers and other located a supplier with a stockpile of 39 million masks. They also located a supplier committed to making a million masks a week.
Hospitals and others may need billions of masks but great to see their union members hitting phones and working to help protect these workers.
Underscores how horribly the trump administration continues to fail the citizens of our country.

Thanks for miring the conversation about national security in that distraction for years, Cons.
